This was designed and developed by Northstar Creative Limited, a small web design agency in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

It has been built to the highest international standards and every page has been tested and approved by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for quality markup:

Northstar offers a complete online marketing range of services, and is essentially a one-stop-shop for small to medium sized businesses.

This project involved the following services:

Logo design - the logo was designed and developed to work all sizes, in colour and mono. The final approved version was provided in all formats for screen and print, along with a colour reference guide CMYK, RGB and Pantone.

Web design - Dakota provided an outline brief of how the website should look and feel, along with key functions. In addition, a list of other websites was presented for terms of reference on the visual styling.

From this amalgamation, we had a pretty clear idea of how the site should look and one visual was worked up on Photoshop. (See image left)

On approval this was developed using the latest Cascading Style Sheet (2) and XHTML 1.1 technology.

Search engine optimisation - One of the key objectives for the website was to generate enquiries from the search engines. With this in mind the site structure, on page markup, images and code were all focussed on targeting certain search phrases.

As there was a delay caused by photography, an initial 3 page site was launched, purely to register with Google what the forthcoming site was about.
